Allow Camera Access for Your ID Check

In short: The ID check needs your camera and microphone. Select Allow when you are asked. If you pressed Block or Deny before, turn access back on in your phone's settings, then start the check again.

Who this is for: Staff. UK and Ireland.

Allow access when you start the check

  1. Start your check from the verification link we emailed you, or log in and select Verify Account when prompted.
  2. When you are asked for access to your camera and microphone, select Allow. If you do not allow both, the check will fail.

If you already pressed Block or Deny

You need to reset the permission yourself. Follow the steps for your phone.

On iPhone (Safari)

  1. Open your iPhone Settings.
  2. Scroll down and tap Safari.
  3. Tap Camera and set it to Allow.
  4. Tap Microphone and set it to Allow.
  5. Go back to Safari and start the check again.

On Android (Chrome)

  1. Open Chrome and go to Settings.
  2. Tap Site Settings.
  3. Tap Camera, find the ID check site in the list, and change it to Allow.
  4. Do the same under Microphone.
  5. Go back and start the check again.

If that did not work

  • Try a different browser. Chrome is recommended.
  • Try a private window: Incognito mode in Chrome on Android, or Private mode in Safari on iPhone. A private window is not affected by the permissions you set before.
