Overview
This article explains how the Weekly tip split works in JustTip, and how it can be combined with categories to split tips between different staff groups.

- Tips collected across the whole roster week, Monday to Sunday, are combined into a single weekly total rather than being split out by day.
- This weekly total is shared among every staff member who worked at any point that week, in proportion to the total hours they worked across the whole week.
- Staff who worked more hours during the week receive a larger share of the weekly total; staff who worked fewer hours receive a smaller share.
On the Weekly tab of the Team Roster page, you enter each staff member's total hours worked for the week. JustTip uses these hours to calculate each person's proportional share of the week's tips.

Categories can be switched on for Weekly the same way as for the other roster types. Staff are grouped into specified categories — most commonly Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH) — and a percentage of the total tip pot is allocated to each category.
This effectively creates a separate tip pot for each category. The Weekly split rules described above are then applied independently within each category's pot, so FOH staff share the FOH pot and BOH staff share the BOH pot, each according to the same Weekly logic.
