Returning, Replacing or Moving a JustTip Terminal
If a terminal is faulty, no longer needed, or moving to a different venue. This article covers what we need from you and what happens next.
Before you contact us
If the terminal is not processing tips, work through Failed Payments & Connectivity Issues first. Most faults are a network or power issue and are fixed by a power reset, which saves you being without a device while one is in transit.
What we need from you
Contact support and include the following. Having all four in your first message is what keeps a collection to a single working day rather than a back-and-forth:
- The device serial or ID, printed on the back of the terminal.
- The full collection address, including Eircode or postcode.
- A date and time when someone will be on site to hand the device to the courier.
- Photos of the terminal, front and back, for our records.
What happens next
- We book a DPD collection for the slot you gave us and send a return label.
- Box the terminal with its charger and any cables, and attach the label.
- For a faulty device, it comes to our team so we can identify the issue. If we have a better-performing unit available, we send that out as a replacement.
- For a return, your account is updated once the device reaches us.
Moving a terminal to another venue
Tell us the device ID and the venue it is moving to before you move it, so tips are recorded against the right business. If both venues sit under the same account, we can reassign the device; if they are separate accounts, the receiving venue needs its own device record.
