QR Code Creation Guide 

(Including Access Restrictions)

Overview

This guide explains how to create a QR code in JustTip and what to do if you are unable to access the QR Code section.

 

  • How to access the QR Code feature

To begin creating a QR code:

  1. Go to justtip.net
  2. Log into your account
  3. On the left-hand menu, click QR Code

 

  • Creating a QR code

If your account has access, click Create QR Code at the top of the page to open the QR creation form.

You will then see a form with fillable fields (text boxes) and tickable options (checkboxes).

 

  • Fillable fields (you must type these in)

These are text input boxes where you need to enter information:

  1. QR Code Name → Enter your business name
  2. Tip Amounts Shown → Add pre-set amounts (e.g. €2, €2.50, €5 separated by commas)
  3. Customer Message → Message shown before tipping
  4. Thank You Page Content → Message shown after a successful tip
  5. Logo Upload → Upload your business logo (if required)

 

  • Tickable options (checkbox settings)

These are options you can enable or disable by ticking a box:

  1. Collect Customer Feedback → Allows customers to leave a message after tipping
  2. Customer Covers Transaction Fee → Pushes fees to the customer
    • If enabled: customer pays tip + (€0.41 + 5%)
    • If disabled: merchant absorbs the (€0.41 + 5%) fee
  3. One Time Payment → For once-off QR payments (e.g. large event service charge)
  4. Enable Individual Tipping → Allows you to assign QR codes to specific employees

 

  • Final step

Once everything is filled in and selected:

  1. Click Add QR Payment Page
  2. Your QR code will be created successfully

 

  • Downloading your QR code

After creation:

  1. Go to your QR code list
  2. Click Manage
  3. Select Download QR Code
  4. Print and display it in your venue

 

  • If you see “Contact Support” instead of QR options

In some cases, when clicking on the QR Code section, you may be redirected to a message asking you to contact support.

This means:

  1. Your account is not yet approved for QR code access
  2. The feature is currently restricted on your profile

Please contact support so we can review and enable QR code access for you.

We may need to:

  1. Verify your account status
  2. Enable QR permissions manually
  3. Confirm your business setup
